Add FinzData to Claude

Works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile.

1. Open FinzData in the Claude connector directory, or in Claude go to Customize → Connectors and search FinzData. If it does not show, set the filter to All.
2. Choose Connect.
3. On the FinzData screen choose Continue without an account for the last 6 months right away, or type your email and choose Start free and connect for 12 months. Have a key? Choose Connect with my key.
4. In a chat, click + → Connectors and make sure FinzData is on.

Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http finzdata https://api.finzdata.com/mcp

Custom connector instead: Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste https://api.finzdata.com/mcp → Connect.

Add FinzData to ChatGPT

Custom MCP connectors use ChatGPT developer mode, available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu. On a workspace plan an admin may need to allow connectors first.

1. Click your profile → Settings → Apps & Connectors.
2. Scroll to Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
3. Back in Apps & Connectors choose Create and fill in:
   • Name: FinzData
   • Description: Point-in-time market data and backtests
   • Connector URL: https://api.finzdata.com/mcp
   • Authentication: OAuth
4. Choose Create. On the FinzData screen choose Continue without an account, or type your email for 12 months free.
5. In a new chat, open the + menu, pick developer mode and switch on FinzData.

No. Choose Continue without an account on the connect screen for the last 6 months of data. A free account (email only) gives 12 months.
