Email [email protected] about anything: your account, an API key, connecting an AI assistant, billing or a data question. Include the email on your account, and for data questions the dataset, symbol and date.
Your API key
Sign in at finzdata.com/signin. If you are new, signing in creates your free account and emails you your API key. Lost your key? Create a new one from the same page. Your old key stops working as soon as the new one is created. Keep your key private.
Connecting FinzData to an AI assistant
FinzData is a remote MCP server at https://api.finzdata.com/mcp.
- ChatGPT: add the FinzData plugin from the ChatGPT plugin directory and choose Connect.
- Claude: add the FinzData connector from the Claude directory, or add a custom connector with the URL above.
- Other clients (Cursor, Gemini CLI, Kimi, GLM and any MCP client): use the URL above with the header
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. Setup notes for agents are at api.finzdata.com/agents.md.
When the sign-in page opens, paste your FinzData API key and approve. To disconnect, remove FinzData in your assistant's settings. Email us and we will also revoke every token we issued to it.
Plans, credits and billing
Free accounts cover the last 12 months, with 100 data calls and 5 backtests a day. Paid plans and prepaid credits unlock full history. See pricing. For refunds or invoices, email us.
Data questions
If a number looks wrong, send the tool or endpoint, the parameters and the date of your request. Every agent result carries a snapshot id. Including it lets us reproduce exactly what you saw.
