FinzData for StockCharts users

Backtest your StockCharts scans.

The scan you already run, tested on every US stock that traded since 2000 — delisted names included, point in time, no look-ahead. StockCharts finds today's setups. FinzData shows how those setups did, every week since 2000.

The rule: each week the backtest holds the stocks that pass your scan, equally weighted (up to 50), with 10 bps costs. Volume floors are covered by FinzData's liquid universe — the most-traded US stocks each month, price >= $5.

Why point in time matters

Results that hold up live

  • Delisted names included while they traded — no survivorship bias.
  • Fundamentals as filed, not as restated.
  • Every result carries a snapshot id you can replay.
